• Iciar Bollaín i Alicia Luna
    Direction: Carme Portaceli

Carme Portaceli and part of his team from the International Stage Factory traveled to the capital of Vietnam where they made the production of “Te doy mis ojos”, this was the second international production of this artistic collective, the first was “So Five Years Pass “Lorca in Caracas.

The show, from the same script Iciar Bollaín film he directed in 2003, brings together artists from the two countries (by the FEI, the set and lighting designer Paco Azorín, director and actress Carme Portaceli Gabriela Flores).
The premiere was at the Opera House in Hanoi. It was a production of Damático Central Vietnam and the FEI, with the support of INAEM Ministry of Culture and the Agency for Cooperation and Development, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.

When I was asked to put on a show at the Drama Centre of Vietnam, in Hanoi, I immediately Pantee a work (should be Spanish) very direct and a very clear and interesting situation in that language never was a handicap I could separate us. Quickly I thought of “Take My Eyes”, the script of the film by Iciar Bollaín I had seen on film was relatively little. I thought it was very interesting to the stage adaptation of the script and take it to another country. Such an important issue around the world and our country every day has increased awareness; gender violence, this was our big challenge.

    Carme Portaceli
